This is an experimental video based on the multi-player on-line game "Battlefield Vietnam" from EAGames. It was directed and shot in real time using real virtual "Actors" and AI’s. Each "Actor" in the game accesses the gaming environment via their own terminal. They can be anywhere in the world and are directed via on-line "Talkback". The game data itself is recorded via the built in “Battle Recorder”, which allows later real-time playback from any angle and from any "point of view" within the virtual movie set environment.  The individual elements are then converted to video and edited in the usual way.

I would like to make further films in this genre using other bespoke graphics rendering engines and would like to hear from software developers who are interested in developing this area of production with us.
